Save the Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act, also known as the ACA or ObamaCare is under attack.  The Congress and the new administration have committed to repealing it right away.  On Sunday, January 15th at 12:30 PM local leaders including Congressmen Tom Suozzi and Congresswomen Kathleen Rice will be holding a rally in Westbury to call on Congress to fix the ACA instead of repealing it. The information for the rally is below.  The CWA is also asking all of our members to call Senators Schumer and Gillibrand and oppose the Corporate Cabinet.  You can find out more about that campaign below.  Finally, CWA 1104 will be joining with our brothers and sisters in labor to stand up for public schools on Thursday, January 19th at 3 PM.  The teachers are mobilizing against about Betsy DeVos who has a long history of privatizing public education. Teachers joined us on the picket line when we were on strike, so lets join them while they fight for their jobs and good quality public schools.
