The union movement is coming off a big high with the recent contract agreement between the Communications Workers of America (CWA), the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and Verizon. Once labor peace was reached with the assistance of US Labor Secretary Tom Perez, the red shirts are diligently back at work, fixing all the mistakes that the scabs and management made to their network.
As soon as the strike was over, UCOMM got FiOS installed in its Bay Shore offices. We now have the super-fast 75/75 MBS internet speed service through the gorgeous black square Quantum router. Even though we have heard stories of some childish managers excessively disciplining its returning workforce (which will inevitably be reversed), things are getting back to normal at Verizon and hopefully both sides can enjoy the summer months and all it has to offer.
