As in the past, there are 3 ways you can vote this year:
 
• You can vote by mail. If you qualify, New York residents may vote by absentee ballot.  You can request your ballot at: https://elections.ny.gov/request-ballot  The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is October 25th. Fill it out and mail it back before the end of business on Election Day, November 5th, so that it is POST MARKED BY ELECTION DAY.  Mailed in ballots must be received by November 12th.  Absentee ballots can also be hand delivered to an early voting poll site between October 25th and November 2nd or to the Board of Elections or to a poll site in your County by November 4th at 9pm.
 
• You can vote early in person. The Early Voting period for the General Election will be October 25th - November 2nd.   You may vote at ANY early voting location in the county you reside.
And of course, you can vote on Election Day at your regular polling location on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4th.

There is 1 Proposition on the ballot this year for Nassau County.  The proposal “Allows skiing and related trail facilities on state forest preserve land. The site is 1,039 acres. Requires State to add 2,500 acres of new forest land in Adirondack Park”
