Tomorrow will be 1 year that CWA President, Chris Shelton called for a strike against Verizon. We stood together at 6 a.m. on a chilly morning in front of 741 Zeckendorf Blvd. not knowing what our future would hold. It was a huge risk, but a risk we had to take. Verizon's greed forced us to the street and it was on those streets that this membership as well as the entire CWA membership let Verizon know they were in for a battle that none of us will ever forget. Seven weeks later we came back to work victorious, proud of what we accomplished as a Local and as an entire Union Membership. We learned when we stick together we can achieve great results. We ask all of our membership to wear RED tomorrow, its Thursday anyway, and walk in together into your work locations. Reestablishing our solidarity and strength and reminding Verizon how powerful we can be when we stand as one.
Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all!
