Updates from CWA 1104
We have few important updates from CWA 1104. In March, members at Verizon should look out for the lump sum absence payments and the corporate profit sharing award. These collectively bargained payments will be included in the first and second paychecks in March.
We also have a number of benefits for members coming up. Beginning in April, applications for the CWA Local 1104 Scholarship will be available. You also can go to our site to access the Joe Beirne Scholarship. CWA 1104 will also be providing Defensive Driving classes in April and May.
Our union is also fighting to protect our members and protect our future. Please read about the CWA's fight against new FCC guidelines that will threaten our jobs. There is also a survey from the AFL-CIO that has been included. They are looking for members' opinions about what direction they should take in 2018. This is your opportunity to help influence the direction that the United States' largest labor group takes. Please continue to work safely and I look forward to seeing everyone at our General Membership Meeting on March 6.
